  • Up for sale is an original and beautiful World War I Fourth Liberty Loan poster depicting the Statue of Liberty, partly destroyed, in New York Harbor amid an aerial and naval attack, beside the words, “That Liberty Shall not Perish from the Earth Buy Liberty Bonds.”  Signed Joseph Pennell Del. Measures 29″ by 42″.  Produced by Heywood Strasser & Voigt Litho Co., NY.  Was professionally framed with fade resistant glass. Minor creases and tiny tears but the poster has been beautifully preserved.  This powerful poster is also on display at the Metropolitan Museum of Art in NYC.
Please look at the pictures and ask questions before bidding.  Also, please check out my other items. I am selling two other original framed WWI posters in separate auctions.
I am selling all three posters as local pick up only.  We are located in the northern Catskills, about 150 miles NW of NYC, 90 miles SW of Albany, 40 miles from Cooperstown and this is a beautiful time of year to visit!
All items are sold as you see them and all sales are final.  Payment is expected within 3 days after the end of the auction.
I will send you an invoice shortly after the auction ends.
